Randy

Known Since: 1992

Resides In: Sacramento, CA

I met Randy through Jeff in the early 90s. This was yet another one of those immediate pals moments. We just clicked as friends, sharing the same sense of humor and always cracking each other up. Randy was always great to be around, too, because he's one of those rare positive people that's always trying to see the bright side of things, doesn't like getting bogged down in lots of drama. A funny and unassuming guy, Randy gets along great with people from just about any walk of life. And, what do you know, he's another writer friend. And a darned good one. He and I have worked on stuff together, and spent many an hour talking about ideas, and life, on the phone. Both of us being introspective types, the latter always came easily. As when we were both facing important life decisions about women we were getting involved with. I do remember a lot of talk and mutual advice during that time. Oh, and Randy's also got a great Mom, who I got to meet a couple of times since he was a home-living college student back at that time. These days, Randy's working in the information technology field and putting his energies towards furthering his career and his options. Since we're in two different states (northern Cal and southern Cal), we don't get to see each other that often, but, as we found out when he flew down for K.C.'s bachelor party here in 2002, friendships, unlike milk, do not curdle, get nasty and smell over time.

Random Me and Randy Memory: Meeting up at the airport in Arizona during your layover when you made the mistake of traveling with that friend of yours' Mom, and it was a total tense nightmare? Yeah, that was comfortable for me. At least it was good to see you. Even if you were about to snap.
