And here are just a few sites I'd advise you check out. Sites o' Mine
Everybody's got one. I do to. Yeah, it's that online comic I write...co-created and drawn by the amazing Tim Watts. I guarantee at least a smirk. Maybe a chortle. The travel journal and photo page of my trip to Ireland in March of 2003. A page I made for the house I used to share in Sacramento with my pals Tim, Rich, Aaron and A.T. Photos and fun stuff to see.
Sites o' Friends o' Mine
The oh-so-creative site of my oh-so-creative friend and amazing photographer Cynthia Jones. Pages created by my friend K.C. Vicious Enterprises and Hustlerpanties.com Both online sales sites for biznizzes owned by my pal Summer Hogan.
Movie and TV Sites
Movie and TV news with a geek slant to it. Check this. Episode guides for, like, every TV show ever made. Invaluable for the true TV fan. The only source you need for movie reviews. This site, instead of giving you their opinion, tallies up, like, all the reviews out there, and then shows you on a scale how the film looks (good reviews vs bad reviews). A nice way to get a good read on whether or not to waste your dough on a film without just trusting Ebert's opinion. Internet Movie Database (IMDB) How did I EVER live without this? Ever see an actor and go "Ooh, I know that guy! What else have I seen him in?" Now all you have to go is go to IMDB. Search for any actor and find out every film that actor has ever done. Wondering what the name of an actor is that you once saw in Jaws 2? Look up Jaws 2 on IMDB and get the complete cast list and find him. Looks up all films done by a certain director. Or writer. Whatever. Possibilities are endless. This is the online Bible for any film fan. Trailers are sometimes the best part about going to the movies. But now you don't have to buy a ticket to check out the latest ones. Go here and see 'em all! My creative hero and idol is Joss Whedon, creator of stuff like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly. This site keeps all us fans of Joss up to date on news about his projects and everyone else related to him (like actors in his shows). Where fans of the Joss Whedon show "Firefly" (like me) get Firefly news, discuss Firefly, etc. Why stand in line to buy tickets on that big opening night (and take a chance on tickets being sold out) when you can just pop online, order them here, and pick them up when you get there?
Udder Sites
Where I get all my news. I'm a NASA fan of old. Fun to go here and see what's up with the space program and such. Oh, come on, tell me you don't already use this one. I never leave my house to shop anymore. I get all my DVDs, books and music on this site. And do all my Christmas shopping here. Just beware the "1-Click Shopping" button. It'll get you in trouble. Trust me... Home of the greatest basketball team on Earth, THANK you... Where you can learn about those "other" teams, too, I guess... Ever need a wake-up call? You can go to this site, enter your info, and for $.99, you can get one, with three snoozes. Cool, huh? The Official Stephen King Web Presence Keep up on what's up with the man himself. Still one of the coolest informational sites on the net. Find out how air conditioning works. Or jet engines. Or learn how to crack a safe. It's way fun learnin'. Who doesn't love a good anagram? Hop on this site and type in any word or words, and you'll get a big list of anagrams made from the letters. Punch in your name. It's fun. This is not a hoax. You can order a phone call from a celebrity (mostly desperate and out of work ones, but still...) for your friend or loved one for their birthday or any occasion. Todd Bridges will actually call your Mom and wish her a happy birthday. Just go. And feel twelve years old again and snicker like a retard. Mainly for Christmas, but a good laugh any time of the year. Go here, grab the globe and shake it. Yes, you too can buy an acre of land on the Moon. Serious. Check it out. |
