Greg

Known Since: 1986

Resides In: Atlanta, GA

I met Greg though Kevin back when those two were still in high school (and I was barely out). What would become the Mission Park group really started with Kevin, Greg, Tim and I. We'd all hang out together, using Tim's car (he was the one that had one), cruise record stores, drink, hang out up in Kevin's loft bedroom and talk about the important things in life...Depeche Mode, movies like Aliens, graphic novels like Watchmen. Greg was a guy who had...well, a strange and rather stressful home life, but he never really let it touch him. There was an (now) ironically brief period of time after graduation where it didn't look like Greg's life was going anywhere. Then he got married and had a kid, joined the Coast Guard, got going with college, and turned out to be the most successful of all of us.

Greg is the best kind of dichotomy; he can still hang out with the guys and talk for hours about the manly and dorky stuff, but he's driven to succeed, and attacks everything he does. Every measure of success he's had he's earned, and no one is more deserving. After a number of successful years in the business world...at one time co-running a web company...Greg has decided to go back to grad school to improve himself further and pursue even better opportunities. An ever-fashionable lad, Greg laughs easily and talks passionately, and is a friend you can always count on...to be there, and to be that rare low-maintenance friend in your group. Greg recently moved to Georgia for grad school with his second wife, Anna, and his son Ryan.

Random Me and Greg Memory: The time we had to stay up all night to catch the flight to Omaha for Bryan's wedding, just listening to music, watching MTV, and talking the night away. Good times.

Anna

Known Since: About 1990, I think

Resides In: Atlanta, GA

Okay, let's get this out of the way. I met Anna because she was going out with my friend Tim. Tim and Anna broke up. Anna and Greg got together and eventually married. There. We've rehashed it again. It's actually really old news. Anna is an absolute delight to know. Extremely personable and liked by all who know her. Very together with a really straight-forward--and ironic--view of the world. I've been lucky enough to know her for a number of years now, and look forward to many more. If you ever want to get on her good side? Use chocolate.

Random Me and Anna Memory: Hanging out at Anna and Greg's wedding reception. And you didn't think the box of cigars was going to be a hit, did you?

(You know Greg, I don't want you to feel threatened by this, but looking at these photos, I notice that Anna and I make a pretty good-looking couple...)

Me, Greg, and Greg's son Ryan (who's much older now)
